Selfless Service. Loyalty. Respect. These are just a few of the attributes that describe our United States military. Today there are approximately 21.5 million veterans that have served our country and 2.4 million of those veterans own a business. Don’t you think we should honor their service and sacrifice for our nation? Well, you can. Your banking institution can help build your local community and our nation by supporting our military veterans through the SBA’s Operation Boots to Business Veteran's Program and Veteran Pledge Initiative. You will not only be helping our military veterans, but you will see the following benefits:

But most importantly...

What are the eligibility requirements for Military Veterans and what are the benefits?

The Boots to Business Program is designed to take any qualified military veteran, regardless of prior educational experiences, through the steps and stages of starting a new business. This program will give instruction on both starting and growing a business.

This program is offered by the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University (SU) in cooperation with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and is operated by SU's Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF). It is a three phase training program developed to introduce and train transitioning service member's to business ownership. Boots to Business begins during the service members transition from the service (TAP or TAMP) and can continue if the service member decides to self select into phase II and III.
